Stuart Charlson began his career as an employment attorney. As an attorney, he served as staff attorney with the United States Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor in Chicago, as well as Associate Attorney with a employment law firm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin representing small to mid-sized family businesses and Fortune 500 companies. He has worked with clients on traditional labor law, wage disputes, discrimination claims, employee misconduct, OSHA citations, layoffs, investigations, handbooks and policy development. After relocating to Florida, his consulting work focused on employee handbooks, manager training, lawsuit prevention, HR compliance, risk management and human resource consulting.  He has advised hundreds of Florida companies from industries, including manufacturing, transportation, hospitality, medical, technology and professional services. In addition, he worked in two corporate HR/safety positions for clients needing more in depth guidance and HR engagement. In those roles, he led an HR Department through a business closure, as well as led a Tampa based business through growth and a sale to private equity. These experiences gave Stuart the chance to expand his leadership skills and effectively guide owners and management during organizational change. Stuart is also a veteran of the United States Army Reserve, Judge Advocate General Corps.

Traci Kingren joined the Consultstu team in January 2023. Traci attended Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and obtained a B.A. in Management and Communications. She has been working in human resources and insurance claims processing for over 10 years. She has experience with new hire orientation, employee files, training, medical claims, STD/LTD and FMLA claims, payroll, timesheets and employee relations.

Mary Sbonek joined the ConsultStu team in June 2024. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan Ann Arbor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Mary is a proud former member of the Varsity Softball team which included 3 trips to the Women’s College World Series, a National Runner Up run, and 5 Big Ten Championships. She relocated to sunny St. Pete after spending time in Detroit and New York City. Mary obtained her SHRM-CP certification in 2023 and enjoys helping clients with whatever HR needs they have! Her HR skills include HR Operations & Support, compensation, benchmarking, recruiting and performance management. Outside of work, Mary enjoys staying active, running, rollerblading, playing pickle ball, and spending time on the boat and at the beach.

Sophie Charlson joined the team in 2020 and loves promoting business through social media. She says that she “loves the versatility of social as both a creative outlet as well as an easy way to promote business and interests”. Outside of working with Consultstu, Sophie enjoys the beach, traveling, listening to music, cheering on the Gators and Knights, participating in philanthropies and hanging with friends! She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and her Master's at the University of Central Florida. When not helping Consultstu, Sophie is a full time Speech Language Pathologist at a Tampa Bay area elementary school.

Devin joined the team in 2022. She graduated with her Bachelor’s from the University of South Florida and Master’s of Health Administration from the University of St. Augustine. She loves helping others succeed in their workplace, and is always eager to learn to advance her career. While working in the medical field, she found a love for HR. “It takes a team to run a successful company, and HR is the glue. I’m excited to expand my knowledge in every aspect of HR.” Outside of work, Devin loves to travel, spend time with family and her two fur babies, Gypsy & Milo, and enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing and hiking. She also has a passion for health that lead her to be a certified nutritionist and personal trainer.
